Wilkister Chepkoech is Miss International Kenya 2026, founder of Every Second Counts, and a Mathematics and Computer Science student at Kenya Methodist University. Wilkister is the founder of Every Second Counts, an initiative dedicated to improving emergency preparedness and expanding access to basic first-aid knowledge. The initiative is built on a simple but vital principle: saving lives is not the responsibility of medical professionals alone. With the right knowledge and skills, ordinary citizens can take immediate action during emergencies and become the first link in the chain of survival.

Through Every Second Counts, Wilkister champions Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 11, and 17: Good Health and Well-being, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and Partnerships for the Goals. Her work focuses on strengthening community preparedness, promoting safer and more resilient communities, and fostering collaboration among individuals, institutions, and healthcare professionals.

Her academic background in Mathematics and Computer Science further informs her interest in the intersection of technology, data, and healthcare. Her vision is to contribute to accessible, community-centred emergency response solutions that connect people in need with assistance more quickly, particularly in underserved communities.

As Miss International Kenya 2026, Wilkister is committed to using her national and international platform to advance healthcare awareness, promote community resilience  and encourage individual responsibility in building safer societies. Through her advocacy, she is demonstrating that meaningful change begins when people are equipped with knowledge, communities work together  and partnerships turn shared goals into collective action.
